The American Optical Caper was a very popular frame in the 1950’s. Back in 1952, AO let Caper introduce herself – “Hi! Let me introduce myself…I’m CAPER…the most exciting frame the AO folks have produced in a long time. The gals like my tapered profile – gentle, moderate brow contour and new, shallow, elongated eye shape. I’m CAPER – self-assured, cocky and frolicsome because of my name. But I’m serious as well as self-assured – and why not – I’m an AO product!”
