With Zeiss Duravision® Technology you get lenses with increased clarity and durability! In addition, all Zeiss lenses have sunglass-level UV protection on the front and rear surface of the lens.
Zeiss Coatings start with the base lens where a heat cured hard coating is applied. Then there are multiple layers for anti-reflective coatings applied and finished with a super slick top coating.
Zeiss Standard Anti-Glare Coating
The most economical of the Zeiss Anti-Glare is the “House Anti-Glare.” This is a good anti-glare with a hard coating. Although the reflection is not not as pleasing as Zeiss Premium coatings, they do a good job.
Zeiss Premium Anti-Glare Coatings
Zeiss Premium Anti-Glare coatings are the finest in the optical industry. There are 4 different coatings to choose from. All of these coatings have a two year warranty that includes scratch protection!
Zeiss DuraVision Chrome UV:
DuraVision Chrome has good clarity and a light green reflex coating with scratch resistance and long-lasting clean ability. This is a good entry level premium coating.
Zeiss DuraVision Silver UV:
DuraVision Silver has high clarity and a silver blue reflex coating with scratch resistance and long-lasting clean ability. This is a great choice when you choose a tint on polycarbonate lenses.
Zeiss DuraVision BlueProtect UV:
DuraVision BlueProtect has very high clarity, a purple reflex coating, scratch resistance and long-lasting clean ability. These are a great choice for those who are in front of a computer for long hours. This is not a good choice if you are using a Zeiss PhotoFusion X photochromic lens. Zeiss PhotoFusion X lenses have BlueGuard throughout the whole lens.
Zeiss DuraVision Platinum UV:
DuraVision Platinum is the highest clarity, a blue reflex coating, super scratch resistance and long-lasting clean ability. If you are wanting the finest anti-glare that is available, these are the best choice.
Zeiss Specialty Anti-Glare Coating
There is a solution for those who have difficulty when driving at night or when the weather affects your vision quality.
Zeiss DuraVision DriveSafe UV:
Zeiss DriveSafe UV is offered only with Zeiss DriveSafe specialty lenses. These are designed to enhance your experience during the day or night. The DriveSafe anti-glare coating reduces reflections giving you better vision in low light or poor weather conditions. These lenses can reduce the glare at night from streetlights and oncoming cars. These are specialty lenses, so it is best to consult with your doctor or with one of our professionals here at Free Prescription Lenses.
